Over 30 thousand inactive companies will be removed from the companies register in FYROM, due to their inactive status for a long time.
This was said by Andrea Popovski, head of the Central Register, an institution that registers and monitors the functionality of domestic companies. “We’re planning to remove thousands of companies which are not active and which have not conducted business activities for a long time. The unregistering will be made through a particular procedure”, declared Popovski after a meeting with the Union of Commercial Chambers.
Besides this, the country is also seeing a growth in the number of companies whose bank accounts have been frozen due to debts. The Central Bank has informed that until December 2014, over 217 thousand individual and business accounts have been seized. Out of this number, 50 thousand bank accounts belonged to domestic companies that hadn’t paid their debts. /ibna/
