30 farmers from Kosovo benefit from the IPA funds

Meridian Corporation LCC is one of the beneficiaries of the EU scheme for rural grants IPA Funds, with the project “Strengthening of competition in the domain of bakeries in the region”.

As part of the implementation of this project, Meridian Corporation LCC has held events, where 30 farmers were given sub-grants with work equipment and training certificates followed at Meridian Corporation.

Burim Hasani, project manager said that today, 30 agricultural equipment have been distributed along with the training certificates for farmers of Kosovo.

Meanwhile, Isuf Cikaqi, representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, considers the project in question as an important project, by saying that the Ministry of Agriculture will help farmers.

According to him, donations of former projects, in this case, the donation from the European Commission is combined with the projects of the Ministry of Agriculture, adding that the Ministry of Agriculture will further continue to back the sector of grains, especially wheat, because this culture is strategic.

Meanwhile, Christopher Stock, representative of the European Union, said that this project is very important in order to increase bread quality.

Selvete Kelmendi, from the Commune of Pristina, who has benefited from the project in question, said that the training from the EU project, will help them a lot and will increase performance. /ibna/
