The European Union has allocated 2,9 million euros from the IPA 2 program for cross border projects between FYROM and Republic of Albania. These funds may be used by communes, public enterprises, small and medium sized businesses and NGOs for projects which stimulate a more balanced and sustainable economic-social development on both sides of the border.
EU ambassador, Samuel Zbogar said that the program contains three priorities: tourism and culture, strengthening of opportunities for competition and protection of the living environment.
“We want to see proposals which relate to the true needs of the population and aim at improving ties between communes”, Zbogar said. /balkaneu.com/
