State Election Commission in FYR Macedonia has informed that 1,7 million people will be entitled to vote in the 11 December elections. But this figure is not conclusive, as authorities are expected to make the final checks of the voters’ list. According to the Commission, the number of eligible voters in the 2014 elections was 1,8 million.
Parliament will disperse on 12 October and then elections will be declared. The election campaign starts on 21 November, while it closes on 10 December.
These are early general elections as a result of the political crisis and the agreement reached between the four largest parties.
The agreement known as the Agreement of Przino was reached in June of last year with the brokerage of EU Enlargement Commissioner, Johannes Hahn. /balkaneu.com/
