The sequel of Star Wars was not as impressive in Greece, since there were sold 137.000 tickets. For the Greek film “Another World” (“Enas allos kosmos” in Greek) there were sold 95.434 tickets. Also, 11.312 tickets for “Joy” and 8.840 for “Point Break”.
Box office in Greece is somehow measured by the number of tickets sold for each movie and not in euros or dollars. But if we “translate” this in money, with an average of 7-8 euros per ticket, then the revenues were about 1 million dollars. Still the distributing company is quite satisfied since previous sequels of Star Wars had sold less tickets then the last one.
