During an operation taken place today in the village of Vaksinca near the Serb border, police of FYROM have stopped around 120 illegal refugees from Afghanistan, Syria and other African and Asian countries.
Police issued a statement declaring that the operation started in the morning hours and that over 30 emigrants have been found in a house of the village.
A few days ago, spokesman of the Ministry of Interior, Ivo Kotevski said that police would intervene in this area, following information for Afghan traffickers who brought refugees in this area on the border with Serbia.
British TV network Channel 4, said in a special report that in this area there’s a group of Afghan traffickers led by the so called ‘Ali Baba’ and that they control the movement of refugees from the Greek border to the border with FYROM. For each refugee, they receive one thousand Euros and then they take them to Serbia. Members of this group are also suspected to be armed. Police said that it has obliterated a part of the ring and will continue the operation to prevent the existence of this group of traffickers. /ibna/
