11,9 million Euros have been allocated from the European Union for the new program consisting of IPA cross border collaboration between FYR Macedonia and Albania for the period 2014-2020.

Over 10,7 million Euros have been allocated for organizations and institutions which are encouraged to compete with concrete cross border cooperation projects.

The project is being promoted in Struga in the presence of the representatives of both governments. Minister of Local Government in FYROM, Lirim Shabani said that the scope of the program is to stimulate a balanced, inclusive and sustainable development of the cross border region.

The program is focused on three priorities of IPA 2, which stem from the analysis of needs and opportunities: stimulation of tourism and cultural and natural heritage, improvement of competition, economy, trade and investments and the protection of the environment, etc. /ibna/
