112 pianists participate in the Nationwide Festival “Young Pianist”

In the past three days, Tirana hosted the Nationwide Festival “Young Pianist” (photo), where the jury tested 112 pianists and then gave the main awards.

Dea Dani from “Prenke Jakova” school in Shkoder was awarded the first prize, Category A

Orenc Graca from Elbasan was awarded the first “Absolute” prize, Category B

Jonatan Verkuj from Tirana was awarded the first “Absolute” prize, Category C

Kejsi Coku from Tirana was awarded the first “Absolute” prize, Category D

Kosti Deti from “Tefta Tashko” school in Korce was awarded Category E

Besides the abovementioned awards, there were also composers’ awards.

Kejsi Coku from Tirana was awarded with the “Mozart” prize

Mario Sula from Tirana was awarded with the “Beethoven” prize

Kosti Deti from Korce was awarded with the “Chopin” prize

Kosti Deti from Korce was awarded with “Liszt” prize

Joel Kakusi from Shkoder was awarded with “Schubert” prize

The second phase of the festival which consists on the Finalists concert saw the performance of these pianists along with the winning pianists of the Absolute Award of last year, thus, the winners of the 17th edition of the “Young Pianist” of 2012.

Along with the winners of the Absolute Awards of this year, they competed for the main Awards of the festival. After the concert, the jury gave the following awards:

Kosti Deti from Korce was awarded with “Lola Gjoka” prize

Erli Lila from Durres was awarded with “Carola Grindea” prize

Erdion Hoxha from Tirana was awarded with the “Cesk Zadeja” prize

Iva Zurbo from Tirana was awarded with the “Filippo Trevisan” prize

and the prize “RTSH Orchestra” offers to the 9-year old winner, Orenc Graca, from Elbasan the possibility to play with the orchestra of the Radio and Television on July 8, 2013, on a concert which is held to promote new talents. /ibna/
