More than 1,100 immigrants arrived in the Greek islands, in the last weekend alone.
Specifically, 38 boats carried from Friday until noon Sunday 1,141 people in seven islands in the northeast Aegean and Dodecanese.
The bulk of them landed on Lesbos, where in a total of 10 incidents were the port authorities had to intervene, 304 people were arrested.
In Samos, in seven cases landed 194 people, while in neighboring Agathonisi 148 more in five different cases.
In Chios, 182 migrants found temporary shelter. They came to the island with four boats, while to neighboring Inousses 108 more people arrived (three incidents).
In Kos arrived 141 immigrants who did not have legal travel documents, while in Pharmakonisi arrived two boats with 64 more.
