In the early hours of the morning, 11 vehicles were set on fire in three different locations in Kumanovo.
Authorities in this city declared that the arrested person who is suspected of having set the vehicles ablaze has been arrested and no other details are given due to the investigations. Panic has spread among the residents and the motives are not yet known.
Valentina Nikolovska, police spokesperson in Kumanovo says that the suspect is being interrogated. “We cannot issue any other details about the reasons behind this vandal act”, Nikolovska declared, adding that the Ministry of Interior.
Citizens declared that they are worried about their safety and demand from authorities to solve this case as soon as possible. “We are worried about the safety of our properties. We demand police to solve this case as soon as possible”, says Veli P, a resident from Kumanovo, who lives in the area where several cars were set ablaze.
Residents have ruled out the possibility of an ethnic related incident, because the cars were located in Albanian and Macedonian quarters. /ibna/
