The Albanian Olympic Committee has announced the ten best sportsmen of 2015. In its selection, the Committee took into account the participation in national and international activities and the results achieved in different disciplines.
The first place went to Luiza Gega, champion and record woman of Albanian athletics.
Arjon Kaloshi of Vllaznia was announced the best sportsman in boxing, while Redi Halilaj, who trains in Italy, was announced the best in cycling.
The award Fair Play was given to basketball player Redi Vogli of Tirana. Meanwhile, Sabjen Lilaj of Skenderbeu was announced the best football player of the year.
In swimming, it was Nikol Merizaj, who trains in Greece, who was announced the best.
Briken Calja of Shtermeni is the best sportsman in wrestling.
In taekwondo, the first places goes to Egers Aliu, who trains in Turkey, the first place in volleyball goes to Anton Qafarena of Vllaznia and in judo, the first prize goes to Jon Vrenozi.
All 10 sportsmen promised higher results for next year. /ibna/
