This year, the number of passengers using the airports of the country compared to 2015 has increased by 17%. According to TAV Makedonija, from the beginning of the year up until the month of October, the total number of passengers travelling through Skopje and Ohrid’s airports has been 1.3 million.
“We’re focused in attracting new airline companies and the opening of new destinations, in order to have a higher number of passengers”, said general director of TAV Makedonija, Zoran Krstevski.
Skopje’s airport offers 33 direct lines, 23 of which through the Hungarian low cost airline Vizzair, which entered FYROM through subsidies offered by the government. /balkaneu.com/
