World Bank will help the economy of Kosovo

The vice president of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia, Cyril Muller has congratulated the government of Kosovo for approving the national strategy for development 2016-2021.

Muller said that this important document will give way to cooperation between Kosovo and the World Bank in important capital projects.

“The World Bank will be a partner and will help Kosovo to attain its goals in important economic processes”, Muller said in a meeting with representatives of the government of Kosovo in Pristina.

The senior World Bank official said that the partnership framework between Kosovo and World Bank will cover the period from 2017 until 2021 and that today’s meeting enables this discussion to be held on a government level.

Minister of Finance, Avdullah Hoti said that the government of Kosovo is grateful to the World Bank as a strategic partner for the support given throughout the years.

Hoti also said that has Kosovo has an agreement with the IMF and that the investment clause allows government of Kosovo to borrow in order to fund priority projects. /ibna/
