Works on the Iber river bridge in the north of Kosovo are halted
The mayor of Northern Mitrovica, Goran Rakic has ordered the “halting of construction works on the Iber river bridge, requesting from international institutions and local institutions to guarantee the safety of the people.

Rakic declared that the works have been stopped following “a number of incidents taken place in Northern Mitrovica”.

He said that he has demanded from the EU representative in Kosovo for the Brussels agreement to be respected and for the safety of the citizens to be guaranteed.

Mayor of Northern Mitrovica called on KFOR peacekeeping forces to increase their presence in the northern part of the city and for police to intensify controls especially in parts of the city with mixed population.

Rakic said that the latest incidents that have taken place and their perpetrators will be brought before justice. /balkaneu.com/
