Turkish exports increase 1.3% in September

Turkish exports hit $13 million with a 1.3% increase while imports reached $20 million with a 3.5% increase in September compared to the same period last year. The Turkish Statistical Insititute (TurkStat) released on Thursday the foreign trade statistics for September 2013.

According to the provisional data, produced with the cooperation of the TurkStat and the Ministry of Customs and Trade, in September 2013; exports were $13 million with a 1.3% increase and imports were $20 million with a 3.5% increase compared with September 2012.

Foreign trade deficit increased by 7.6%

In the same month, foreign trade deficit increased by 7.6% from $6 million to $7 million.

In September 2013, exports coverage imports was 63.6% while it was 65% in September 2012.

Exports to the EU-28 increased by 10.2%

As compared with the same month of the previous year, exports to the (European Union) EU-28 were $5 million, increased by 10.2%.

The proportion of the EU countries was 42.8% in September 2013 while it was 39.4% in September 2012.

Due to the fact that Croatia has been an EU member state since July 2013, data related to the EU country group has been prepared including 28 member states.

Turkish exports hit $13 million with a 1.3 percent increase while imports reached $20 million with a 3.5 percent increase in September compared to the same period last year.

The Turkish Statistical Insititute (TurkStat) released on Thursday the foreign trade statistics for September 2013.

According to the provisional data, produced with the cooperation of the TurkStat and the Ministry of Customs and Trade, in September 2013; exports were $13 million with a 1.3 percent increase and imports were $20 million with a 3.5 percent increase compared with September 2012.

Foreign trade deficit increased by 7.6 pct

In the same month, foreign trade deficit increased by 7.6 pct from $6 million to $7 million.

In September 2013, exports coverage imports was 63.6% while it was 65 pct in September 2012.

Exports to the EU-28 increased by 10.2 pct

As compared with the same month of the previous year, exports to the (European Union) EU-28 were $5 million, increased by 10.2 pct.

The proportion of the EU countries was 42.8 pct in September 2013 while it was 39.4 pct in September 2012.
