Turkey continues to violate the United Nations Resolutions on the Cyprus issue, says Cyprus' House President
In a statement made at the 137th Assembly of the Interparliamentary Union (IPU) in St Petersburg, the House of Representatives Speaker Dimitris Syllouris responded to non-existent claims by Turkish National Assembly President Ismail Kahraman, regarding the situation in Cyprus.

Responding to what Mr Kahraman said in his speech to justify the invasion and continued occupation of Turkey in Cyprus, Mr Syllouris underlined that both the presence of Turkish troops and the practice of colonization that is being applied, clearly show the mass violations of the basic human rights of all Cypriots, including Turkish Cypriots.

Turkey, the President of the House noted, "continues to violate the United Nations Resolutions on the Cyprus issue and all principles of international law, even today taking systematic actions to alter the demographic character of Cyprus and the destruction of our rich cultural heritage"./IBNA
