The chairman and two members of State Electoral Commission resign after the scandal with the bonuses
The Chairman of the State Electoral Commission of fYROMacedonia, Alexandar Tchichakovsky, and two members of the Commission coming from the government Zoran Zayev's Social Democratic Union (SDSM) party resigned from their positions, after the revelations that the nine in total members of this committee, distributed bonuses to themselves for overtime with shady procedures and without having disclosed it.

The other six members of the committee, including two MPs from Nikola Gruevski's party and two Albanian MPs, have not submitted their resignations, at least so far.

The revelation that the members of the State Electoral Commission of fYROMacedonia were giving bonuses to themselves was made last week by US Ambassador to Skopje, Jess Baily. After this revelation there was a real stir in Skopje and the members of the committee have been strongly criticised by the local media for this action.

In the end, the chairman of the State Electoral Commission of fYROMacedonia and two members of the committee resigned on Monday.
