Skopje: The agreement on the name to be voted again on 5 July
Parliament in Skopje has decided today to vote the agreement on the country’s new name, Republic of North Macedonia once again on 5 July, following the refusal by president Djordje Ivanov to sign it.

According to parliament’s rulebook, if the president does not sign the bill for the ratification of the agreement regarding the name dispute, the agreement goes back to parliament and in order to take effect, it should be voted a second time by 61 MPs.

Once it’s voted for the second time, the agreement becomes effective and the president is obliged to sign it. /ibna/
