According to the official exchange rate issued by the Bank of Serbia (NBS), one Euro is 11 paras (1 dinar=100 paras) stronger than it was on the last day of 2013 resulting in the dinar's devaluation by 0.6%. The exchange rate on December 31 was 114.6421.

The strongest day of 2013 for the serbian dinar was April 30 when one euro was worth RSD 110.5426, while on September 11 the national currency reached its lowest value when one euro was worth RSD 115.2574.

The historical low for the dinar was recorded on July 27 2012, when the exchange rate was RSD 118.6892 for one euro,

In order to alleviate the daily fluctuations of the exchange rate, during 2013, the NBS bought a total of EUR 615 million in the interbank hard currency market, while at the same time selling EUR 425 million.
