Orhan Pamuk to be honoured by the University of Crete
The professors of the Literature Department of the University of Crete decided to honour the Nobel laureate Orhan Pamuk by awarding him a doctorate on May 4, 2018, as they announced on Tuesday.

Orhan Pamuk is one of Turkey’s most prominent nobelists, defender of the human rights with an international recognision that holds the 2006 Nobel prize for Literature. He’s sold over thirteen million books around the world in sixty-three different languages with some of them to be The White Castle, The Black Book, The New Life, My Name Is Red, Snow, The Museum of Innocence, Silent House, A Strangeness in My Mind and the Red-Haired Woman.

The event will be held at the "Pandelis Prevelakis" Hall of the Conservatory of Rethymno.../IBNA
