Mitsotakis-Katainen talked of how EU-Eurozone could be reinvented
During an event organised by Brussels-based economic think tank Bruegel, on Thursday November 30, the Vice President of the European Commission Jyrki Katainen and New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis underlined the importance for Greece and other small countries in the EU to participate actively in the discussion on how to reinvent the EU and the Eurozone.

Mitsotakis said that Greece must take part in the conversation on Eurozone's future, emphasising that Greeks supported their membership in the euro-area, even during the hardest periods of the economic crisis.

If all member-states and European leaders keep the European agenda high in their priorities, a compromise will soon be found on what needs to be done in the future, Katainen states. He also stressed that it is important for European citizens to get involved in this debate, and that small EU countries should propose ways to reform Europe's future and complete the integration of the Economic and Monetary Union.../IBNA
