Leader of AAK, Ramush Haradinaj declared today that energy situation in Kosovo is without any perspective.

During a visit held in the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK), Haradinaj said that in spite of the great reserves of coal that Kosovo has, it’s turning into a problem for the region.

“Today, Kosovo lacks at least 500 megawatt hours of electric energy and the situation is hopeless. The state must urgently intervene. Regeneration of existing capacities can no longer be delayed”, he said.

Haradinaj has also blamed what he considered to be wrong policies, as according to him they have turned Kosovo from a potential producer, into a regional energy problem.

“The fact that no interventions are being made in the energy system in the country, will threaten economy and consumer. The energy system in Kosovo must open its doors to potential investors, because wrong policies which have been followed in this domain, have turned Kosovo from a potential producer, to an energy regional problem”, leader of AAK said. /ibna/
