Kosovo is committed in its European Union integration path
Outgoing Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa has participated in the meeting held by the prime ministers of the region, hosted by the EU head of diplomacy, Federica Mogherini.

After the meeting with Mogherini, Mustafa said that he had expressed Kosovo’s commitment for the European perspective.

“We remain committed for regional cooperation and for advancement of our relations with the Western Balkan countries”, Mustafa said.

“I shared the position that I have now as leader of LDK, that we remain committed in these processes and that our prime minister nominee is also committed to take these processes forward”, Mustafa said.

According to Mustafa, Kosovo has no other alternative, but to enable the citizens free movement in the EU and implement the international agreements that Kosovo has achieved.

The EU representative has also suggested to Balkan leaders to continue their European reforms.

“All the participants have pledged that they will be engaged in continuing the process of European integration. They have reiterated their determination to strengthen cooperation and improve the quality of life for the citizens of the region”, Mogherini’s statement says.

Before this dinner, Mogherini has also held separate meetings with the prime ministers of Kosovo, Albania, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and FYROM’s Prime Minister elect.

Two of the prime ministers, that of Kosovo and the Prime Minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, will soon leave office.

This meeting aimed at preparing the Western Balkan Summit which will be held in Trieste, Italy, at the beginning of July. /balkaneu.com/
