Kasoulides concludes visit to Hungary
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Ioannis Kasoulides concluded yesterday his official visit to Hungary and is departing today for Brussels in order to attend the meeting between the President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades with the Greek Prime Minister, Mr Alexis Tsipras.

During his visit to Budapest, Minister Kasoulides had a meeting with his Hungarian counterpart, Mr Péter Szijjártó. The agenda of the meeting between the two Foreign Ministers and their delegations entailed bilateral relations between Cyprus and Hungary, the future of the EU in tandem with Brexit, Migration, regional matters with emphasis on the developments in Syria, and Energy and the possibilities for cooperation between the two countries in this sector.

Moreover, Mr Kasoulides gave a lecture at the Hungarian Institute of Foreign Relations and Trade on Cyprus’ energy and security policy in the Eastern Mediterranean, in the presence of diplomats, academics and members of the Institute./IBNA
