Electricity prices fall by 5.24% in FYR Macedonia
Skopje, June 27, 2013

Energy Regulatory Authority decided today for the reduction of the price of electricity by 5.24%.

The application of the new price will start in July. The reduction comes as a result of the reduction of power supply consumption and the fall in the import of energy. The head of ERA has also taken under consideration energy price falls in world markets.

Last year, energy prices increased by 20%, but even after this there have been gradual price increases, which had sparked the reaction of consumers. Last year, “Aman” movement organized a protest in FYROM against the increase of power supply. /ibna/
