Dodik accuses opposition for corruption
The “theater of the absurd” in Republic of Srpska continues with mutual accusations between ruling parties and the opposition outside the RS National Assembly building, with press releases and statements.

RS president, Milorad Dodik, said on Thursday to media that he received information from “the most relevant intelligence institutions in the region” that the opposition parties will receive five million BAM (€ 2,5 million), to ruin the RS institutions and Government until the elections.

He stated that one of the goals is exactly what SDS leader, Vukota Govedarica, requested - the dissolution of the RS Parliament to show that RS institutions do not function.

"We know how this goes, and we were able to prepare ourselves for such a situation, so they failed to achieve a goal," Dodik told reporters.

He stressed that the opposition has the right to choose the operational method and that the ruling coalition acted with dignity and political bravery when the last Parliament session continued -although the speaker had the chance to order that opposition representatives leave the parliament due to inadequate behaviour.

Dodik emphasised that the RS National Assembly is functioning and that it has made important decisions, such as the Resolution on Military Neutrality. He said that the U.S. Ambassador to BiH, Maureen Cormack, should finally stop interfering in RS's internal affairs, because "nobody is naive, stupid or afraid of her in RS."

Dodik said that it is known, that the HDZ, SDA, SDP advocated BiH's membership to NATO, while RS is against that, but that nobody said that this issue will not be discussed at the competent institutions at BiH level.

After Dodik's accusations for bribery, Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) announced that they sue the RS President for defamation because of allegations about five million BAM.

"The intelligence sources that Dodik mentioned come from his head and those of the people in his cabinet who are proven as ridiculous manipulations," added PDP in a written statement.

The PDP stressed that they are appalled by such statement of a man who should be a president of all citizens of the entity.

Leader of Serb Democratic Party (SDS), Vukota Govedarica, said that the allegations about millions of BAM are stupid and not true. He added that Dodik is afraid of the early elections in RS and that opposition will continue to protest and to interrupt the RS Parliament sessions.../IBNA
