Cyprus Foreign Trade Deficit increases  EUR 448 mln for January – May 2017 yoy
The total imports in January-May 2017 amounted to €3.144,1 mln, as compared to €2.858,9 mln in January-May 2016. There was a decrease in the total exports in January-May 2017, which were €1.035,9 mln, compared to €1.198,6 mln in January-May 2016. The trade deficit was €2.108,2 mln in January-May 2017, compared to €1.660,3 mln in the corresponding period of 2016.

The total exports of domestically produced goods, excluding stores and provisions, in January-May 2017 were €525,0 mln, compared to €372,6 mn in January-May 2016. Total domestic exports of industrial products in January-May 2017 were €467,1 mln, compared to €306,5 mln in January-May 2016. The total domestic exports of agricultural products in January-May 2017 were €55,0 mln, compared to €61,5 mln in January-May 2016./IBNA
