Cypriot Energy Minister to discuss block 3 developments with ENI reps
The minister for Energy of Cyprus, Georgios Lakkotrypis said he will meet with representatives of the Italian energy giant ENI, "in order to asses on the highest level the available options concerning developments in block 3 of Cyprus’ exclusive economic zone (EEZ)," CNA reports.

After the latest incident, last Saturday, when Drillship Saipem 12000 that ENI has commissioned, was not allowed to continue its course as Turkish warships stopped it "en route to a location within block 3" of  the Cypriot EEZ the situation needs to be re-assessed.

"Addressing the open part of the session of the House Committee on Energy, Trade, Industry and Tourism, Lakkotrypis noted that the companies involved 'are truly behaving like our partners' and consider Turkish provocative actions to have caused the problem", CNA wrote.../IBNA
