Review Hari Stefanatos

A statement issued by the Central Bank of Serbia on Monday predicted that inflation in going to increase moderately in the next few months as it will "gradually approach the four percent target inflation on the annual level".

The one-time effect of the  forthcoming increase of VAT rate along with the growth of government-regulated prices  will contribute to the inflation growth, while low demand and low food cost production will have the opposite effect.

In 2013, inflation fluctuated well within the lower set 4% plus to minus 1.5 % deviation limit reaching 2.2%.

According to NBS, the 10.4 percent increase of government-regulated prices was the biggest contribution factor to the inflation rate in 2013.
