Budget revenues in Kosovo grow by 8,2%

Today, the Ministry of Finance in Kosovo has published the report on the performance of budget incomes and expenses from January to August of this year. The report indicates that budget revenues have increased by 8,2% compared to the same period last year.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the report on the performance of budget incomes and expenses contains a short analysis on the main trends for incomes and expenses from January to August of this year.

“Incomes from border taxes during this period were 593,7 million Euros or 7,9% more than the same period last year. Besides the growth in value and quantity of import, this growth is also affected by the growth of excise on several products and the growth in the quantity imported. Import of fuel, which has seen a drop in price by 15%, has seen a growth in quantity by 15,9%”, says the statement of the Ministry of Finance.

According to the Ministry of Finance, budget revenues collected in the country for this period saw a growth of 9,2% compared to the same period in 2014 and amounting to 219,6 million euros.

“Meanwhile, budget expenses have registered a growth of 4,7% amounting to 903,7 million euros during the period from January to August”, the Ministry of Finance says. /ibna/
