Albania is the country with the smallest number of cars per capita in Europe. According to the figures supplied by the country’s agency for statistics, INSTAT and the European office for statistics, Eurostat, in 2016, the EU had on average 505 cars per 1000 residents, while Albania had 146 cars per 1000 residents.

Also, according to the data supplied by Nation Master, Albania continues to have the smallest number of cars per 1000 residents compared to the region. In 2016, Montenegro had 309 cars per 1000 resident, Serbia had 288, while Bosnia had 214.
