Albania given a default win against Serbia
The decision was announced a few minutes ago by the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland

Court of Arbitrage for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland decided to grant the complaint submitted by the Albanian Football Association in regards to an earlier UEFA ruling on the Albanian national side against Serbia in Belgrade.

The October 15, 2014 match in Belgrade was associated with a number of incidents which were condemned by both sides. After the match, which could be fully played, as the second half didn’t take place, UEFA penalized Albania and Serbia.

The ruling was appealed and the Court of Arbitrage for Sport in Lausanne awarded Albania 3 points for the suspended match against Serbia.

This court awarded a 3-0 default win against Serbia for the October 15 match.

Serbia-Albania fixture was a European Championship qualifiers match. The European Championship finals will be played next year in France. /ibna/
